Connections Matter is a training designed to engage community members in building caring connections to:
- Improve resiliency,
- Prevent childhood trauma, and
- Understand how our interactions with others can support those who have experienced trauma.
The Sex Education Collaborative Training Hub lists trainings for sex educators, facilitators, and other professionals on best practices for sharing important information with clients and the public. From teaching anatomy inclusively to effectively addressing bias in the classroom to addressing racial justice and equity in sex education, the Training Hub includes trainings, technical assistance, and policy support from state, regional, and national leaders in the field of sex education.

What is comprehensive sex education (CSE)? Join us to learn the components of CSE, why it’s important, and how it can benefit your students and your school. We will also discuss the process for getting approval from your school board and how GCAPP staff can support you.
Support your adolescent healthcare practice with TALK: Toolkit for Adolescent Care’s resources and training. TALK provides skills, scripts, and examples that can be put to immediate use, and can adapt to your team’s needs. Training is customizable and can range from a one-hour “Lunch and Learns” to a multi-week series of one-hour interactive sessions. format. A multi-session format builds participants’ Motivational Interviewing skills – and opportunities to apply them – using supportive one-page TALK tools.
Participants will gain knowledge of how intimate partner violence impacts the mental, sexual and reproductive health of young people who witness and/or experience it. Participants will brainstorm strategies to intervene and learn about local, state, and national resources.

Coping skills are strategies we use to manage unpleasant emotions, decrease stress, and establish order in our lives. They can be used in the classroom both by students and teachers. Participants will not only learn practical skills to use in their daily lives but also how to teach these skills to their students.
This full-day training is for educators who are newly tapped to teach sex education to teach them the necessary foundational skills. We will cover group rights, setting the classroom tone, managing potential challenges, establishing appropriate boundaries, and exploring personal values as they relate to teaching about sexuality. Participants will leave this training with an increase in knowledge, skills, and comfort to successfully teach sex ed. Registration link here.
