General Information

Health Connected equips young people with information, skills, and support to make thoughtful choices about their relationships and sexual health throughout their lives. We do this through three programs: Youth Services, Provider Services, and Parent Services. All of our programs are based on our nationally-distributed Puberty Talk/Teen Talk curriculum series which integrates 25 years of community partnership and best practices in sexual health education.

Through our Youth Services Program we partner with schools to deliver classroom-based instruction to students. Our health educators create a safe, non-judgmental, and fun environment that fosters interactive learning and dialogue - both online and in-person. Through our Provider Services Program, we offer trainings for teachers and provide technical assistance for schools and school districts who are looking to implement sexual health education in their schools. Backed by our curricula, teachers are given the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver essential information and create a student-centered, supportive atmosphere in which to deliver these essential topics. Lastly, we recognize that sexual health education extends well beyond the classroom and that supporting parents and caregivers is key to enabling young people to thrive. Through our Parent Services Program we offer a suite of workshops for caregivers and families to help build their skills and confidence in engaging in ongoing conversations about relationships and sexual health decision-making at home.
