- Prevent childhood trauma, and
- Understand how our interactions with others can support those who have experienced trauma.

During the time of COVID-19, we know the demand for virtual training has greatly increased, and many of our members are quickly adapting to get you the training you need. Sex Ed. Boot Camp is a dynamic and engaging virtual conference. Every year, we bring together expert from across the field to provide participants with relevant information on teaching sexuality education to young people.
This year's theme is "Exploring Identity Through Sexuality Education." This virtual conference helps youth-facing professionals learn to provide positive, accurate, and age-appropriate sex education in a variety of school and community settings. Participants build knowledge, skills and increase comfort as an approachable resource for young people around sexual health issues.
Participants will be reminded of normal patterns of development during adolescence and discuss strategies for maintaining professionalism with adolescent students.

Coping skills are strategies we use to manage unpleasant emotions, decrease stress, and establish order in our lives. They can be used in the classroom both by students and teachers. Participants will not only learn practical skills to use in their daily lives but also how to teach these skills to their students.
What is comprehensive sex education (CSE)? Join us to learn the components of CSE, why it’s important, and how it can benefit your students and your school. We will also discuss the process for getting approval from your school board and how GCAPP staff can support you.
HYD - PRC provides interactive, skills-building trainings to increase the capacity of youth serving professionals and organizations. As a complement to trainings, customized assistance is also available to support program selection, implementation, and evaluation.
